Mao Tai Chun: A Chinese Fashion Liquor with Cultural Charm

Combining Tradition and Innovation to Create a Unique Design

Inspired by the innovative culture of liquor products, Mao Tai Chun Liquor has become a trend in today's market. With a deep cultural heritage and a desire to create a Chinese fashion product, designer Zeng Li has taken the cultural connotation of Mao Tai Chun and refined it into a captivating design. By incorporating the theme of the rat year and the enchanting Mao Tai Chun fairy, this design not only showcases the charm of Chinese culture but also enhances the brand's intellectual property.

Mao Tai Chun stands out from other liquor designs with its unique properties and strengths. The metal lid, designed with the year of the rat in mind, features a hollow-out process that adds a touch of elegance. The bottle and packaging are adorned with concise text structures and cultural elements, highlighting the allure of Chinese elements. The use of the master Han Meilin's zodiac stamp further enhances the product's value and cultural significance. This combination of the lovely mouse, Mao Tai Chun wine, and its own cultural IP creates a unique cultural memory that appeals to modern young consumers and introduces them to traditional Chinese fashion elements.

The realization of this design involves various techniques and materials. The body of the bottle is made from high-temperature calcination printing technology on a green ceramic bottle, while the lid utilizes metal hollowing technology. The outer package is crafted with beige special paper spot color printing and hot stamping technology, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design.

With a capacity of 500ml, the Mao Tai Chun bottle stands at 24cm in height and has a diameter of 9cm. The packaging measures 285cm in height, 14cm in width, and 13cm in depth. These specifications ensure that the design is not only visually appealing but also practical for consumers.

The Mao Tai Chun design is more than just a visually stunning product. It aims to convey the concept of "values" through color illustration, allowing consumers to understand the innovation, richness, and inclusivity of the product. By reducing gender stereotypes and emphasizing the product's unique qualities, Mao Tai Chun appeals to a wide range of consumers.

The design project for Mao Tai Chun was launched in Shenzhen in December 2019 and completed in January 2020. The design process took place in Shenzhen, where the proofing and production were also carried out.

Extensive research underlies the creation of this design. The goal was to incorporate Mao Tai Chun culture and Chinese classical culture, combining the flying fairy of Mao Tai with the zodiac rat. This design aims to carry forward China's five thousand years of cultural spirit and allow modern consumers to appreciate the charm of Chinese elements while enjoying premium liquor.

Creating the Mao Tai Chun design came with its fair share of challenges. The mastery of color elements, both in the bottle and packaging, required advanced technology and meticulous attention to detail. While time-consuming and laborious, the result is a display of graphic design that surpasses common designs. However, mass production necessitates compromises.

The Mao Tai Chun design has been recognized for its excellence and creativity. It was awarded the Bronze A' Packaging Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that exhibit outstanding creativity and resourcefulness, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. The Mao Tai Chun design contributes to improving the quality of life and making the world a better place.
